WINSFORD'S very own mini-mayor Beth Hattersley had one of her first engagements at Overdene House Care Centre on Thursday.

Staff and residents alike were delighted to meet the 11-year-old who spoke to them and had a tour around the centre.

'We were very impressed - she spoke to the residents and told them about what she was doing, which was lovely,' said Overdene's Tess Evans.

Beth, who is Winsford's first mini-mayor, said she was keen to support the elderly in her year 'in office'.
