Mersey Tunnels NOT closing today & tomorrow

THE Mersey Tunnels will NOT be closing today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday, January 11/12), despite the claims of some radio news reports.

THE Mersey Tunnels will NOT be closing today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday, January 11/12), despite the claims of some radio news reports.

The Mersey Tunnels Police Control Room have been receiving numerous calls from the public after hearing the radio reports that the tunnels will be closed tonight and tomorrow.

But a spokesman for the control room said: “It is important to stress that both Mersey Tunnels are fully open today and tomorrow. There are NO closures in place.”
