A FAST-FOOD restaurant worker barricaded herself in an office after a man wielding a hammer and wheel brace demanded cash from the till.

The man, who was white, medium build, about 5’ 9” tall and wearing a black long-sleeved hooded top with a grey horizontal stripe and grey trousers, entered the McDonalds at Old Seals Way, Sealand Industrial Estate, at about 6.45am on Sunday, November 29.

Cheshire Police spokesperson Shelley Williams said: “He approached the 24-year-old member of staff and threatened her with a hammer and wheel brace, demanding access to the till.

“The member of staff made herself safe in the back offices of the restaurant.

“The man ran from the store empty handed and got into a dark car parked in the car park.”
