DITTON Library was the unexpected location for a live performance by one of dance music's hottest talents.

MC Rory-O wowed fans as he performed with DJ Rasp at Ditton Library last Wednesday evening.

The even, organised by Halton Council, was part of the Splash scheme which has staged free activities for young people throughout the summer holidays.

Visitors were given an opportunity to get behind the record decks and create tunes of their own while MC Rory-O gave fans a masterclass in rapping.

MC Rory-O who is a leading figure in the 'Scouse House' music scene, and has perfomerd to sell-out crowds across the country and abroad.

Along with his group the Killer Kombo he has released three albums with a fourth soon to be released.

Fans were also able to purchase Killer Kombo albums signed by the artiste.

Halton Libraries' reader development officer, Janette Fleming, said: 'Hopefully it encouraged young people who would not normally come to a library to see what we have to of fer.'
