A NEIGHBOUR who threatened to kill people in his block of flats and kicked their door when they complained about noise has been given an ASBO.

Michael Kerr, 28, from Tatton Close, Lache, became angry when residents in the flat above complained about loud music, shouting and banging.

He drunkenly started to kick at their door and threatened to kill them.

He pleaded guilty to affray and was sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work and a two year supervision order at Chester Crown Court last Monday for the offence committed on October 10, 2005.

A three year ASBO was also issued which prevents the defendant contacting or threatening any of the complainants.

Maria Masselis, defending, said: 'The complainants are not whiter than white and there is a history here.'

She added that Kerr and his girlfriend, who lived in the flat in question, are moving to avoid contact with the complainants. Kerr was also ordered to pay £300 court costs.
