A MAN who hounded his ex girlfriend by waiting outside her house and sending her threatening text messages has been given a restraining order.
Mark Wainwright, 36, of Wyndham Road, Blacon, pleaded guilty to harassing Ann Marie Gilfoyle from May 21 to June 4.
He was sentenced to a 24-month community order to include 200 hours of unpaid work and 30 sessions at a domestic violence programme. He was also issued with a five-year restraining order.
On Friday Chester magistrates heard the couple split in May but Wainwright continued to text Miss Gilfoyle, often threatening her.
One message said: 'I am going to hound you out of this house.'
In defence, Wainwright said he wanted his possessions back, including his children's toys.
He was convicted of the same offence against his ex-wife last year and issued with a five-year restraining order, which he has never breached.
