A MAN has suffered a fractured skull and broken jaw following a vicious assault outside apartments in Chester.

The attack took place in Wharf View at about 11pm on Friday, June 8.

The 20-year-old victim was stood on the road outside the entrance to the apartments when he was punched and kneed in the stomach by two men.

This caused him to fall over and bang his head on a parked car.

As a result the victim sustained a fractured skull, broken jaw and suspected fractured cheek. He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

Two men, both aged 22, have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have since been bailed while further enquiries are carried out.
