A man has been taken to hospital after collapsing outside BHS in Chester city centre at around 10.30am on Wednesday (April 15).

Richard Garnett tweeted: "Man collapsed in middle of Forgate St. Paramedics at scene. Also affecting flow of bus traffic."

In response to the Chronicle's questions of exactly where the incident took place Richard replied: "It was obstructing No. 4 bus and everyone had to get off."

A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said: "A male in his 20s collapsed outside British Home Stores in the middle of the road.

"He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital."

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.
