POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in a Chester nightclub.
At 2am on June 24 the 22-year-old victim was standing at the bar on the second floor of Cruise when he was approached by a group of men.
One of the men engaged him in conversation and then assaulted him with a glass.
Another man then punched the victim before security staff intervened.
PC Lee Williams said: “The assualt left the victim with a cut to his eye which needed stitches and a suspected broken nose. He had to go to hospital to be treated for his injures and is now recovering at home.
“We would appeal to anyone who was in the nightclub at the time and saw the assault take place to contact police.”
A 22-year-old man from Buckley and a 22-year-old man from Wrexham have been arrested and released on police bail.
