A 65-YEAR-OLD man who went missing in Delamere Forest following a domestic incident has been found and subsequently arrested by police on suspicion of attempted murder.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “At about 5.10am today (Thursday, September 15), Cheshire Police were called to a report of a domestic related incident on Shipbrook Road, Northwich.
“A woman was subsequently hospitalised with serious injuries to her abdomen.
“A 65-year-old local man was located in the Delamere Forest area and has been arrested by police.
“The victim is undergoing treatment in hospital where her condition is described as serious. Police are not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident.”
Cheshire Search and Rescue posted on Twitter that they were called out at about 8am to locate the missing man and he was found an hour later.
