A MAN has been released without charge after an assault in Frodsham.

A 37-year-old man was assaulted during a fight outside The Bears Paw pub, High Street, Frodsham, at 8.55pm on Friday, April 3.

The man suffered a cut to the back of the head and was knocked unconscious.

He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: “A 44-year-old man was arrested for assault on Friday but was released without charge on Saturday.”
