A 24-YEAR-old Chester man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire broke out in a public toilet block.
Emergency services were called to the lavatories on Frodsham Street just after 11.30pn on Friday (October 14) following reports of suspicious activity.
On arrival they discovered a fire in one of the toilet pans. This was put out quickly by the use of a hose reel jet.
The man was arrested shortly afterwards and is currently still in police custody.
Cheshire Police are still investigating.
