A man has been airlifted to hospital after being removed from the water below Chester's Grosvenor Bridge today (Wednesday, May 25).
All three emergency services were called to the scene at 2.40pm following concerns for the welfare of a man.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said they arrived to find the man in the water underneath the bridge.
"He was removed from the water and was treated by paramedics at the scene," the spokesperson said. "The man has subsequently been airlifted to hospital."
One lane of the bridge is currently closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
