MALPAS Scouts got their sponges and buckets out for a fundraising car wash which raised £200.

The Malpas cubs, beavers, scouts, and explorer scouts joined forces for the fundraising event at the village fire station.

Treasurer of the scouts Colin Duffy said: “We raised £200, which is fantastic. They had an excellent day and enjoyed getting wet. We washed 50 cars, so it was a really good effort.”

Colin said that the group were raising money for the scouts and would put the money towards a new mini bus. If anyone would like to join the Scouts, they can call Colin on 01829 250636 or e-mail colin.duffy@zen.co.uk.
