CASTLE residents want police officers to pounce on nuisance youth problems.

More than 25 residents went along to the latest Community Action Meeting (CAM) led by Police Community Support Officer Barbara Stock to register their views on the issues they have concerns about.

They said the streets off Darwin Street were areas they felt nuisance youth problems were an issue.

PCSO Stock will now work with her Northwich Community Action Team (CAT) colleagues and partner agencies Vale Royal Borough Council and Weaver Vale Housing Trust to address the concerns.

She said: 'The CAMs are going really well. Lots of people, including partner agencies, are turning up which is a great sign.

'Nuisance youth issues have been a priority before and the work to deal with this will continue to ensure we reach a long-term solution.

'Litter is a problem which was also discussed. I'm looking to invite partner agencies to the next meeting so we can make progress in dealing with this too. I'm confident we will achieve positive results in all these areas.'
