MAINTENANCE and management of the historic woodland landscape at Castle Park in Frodsham will be discussed at a meeting between Cheshire West and Chester Council and community groups on Friday.

A programme of essential tree work that needs to take place in the coming months to improve the health of the woodland with a long term goal of producing a woodland management plan for the park will be discussed at the meeting tomorrow (Friday) at Castle Park’s main building.

Frodsham and Helsby councillor Andrew Dawson said: “I called the meeting because I know that many people are interested in the results of the tree audit, carried out by the council’s greenspace team.

“They will be able to find out the results of the survey, including if trees need to be felled or branches cut back.

“I would urge anyone who adjoins Castle Park or has interest in the tree audit to come along to the meeting.”
