An oil spillage is causing delays for motorists travelling on the M53 this Monday afternoon (July 11).
One lane of the southbound carriageway has been closed between junction 6 for Hooton and junction 7 for Overpool.
The spillage was caused by an incident earlier today in which a car was involved in a collision with the central reservation.
Traffic heading towards Ellesmere Port is affected.
