PRODUCERS of a new Granada TV show called Lost Treasures are looking to the people of Chester to help them with a follow-up series.

Presenters visit forgotten or overlooked sites of archaeological interest in Chester as well as Wirral.

The team is looking forward to a second series, but needs fresh ideas.

Programme spokesman Keith Thompson said: 'We are looking forward to people coming forward via our website and sharing their finds and research.'

Chester has an episode of its own to finish off the series on September 15 when some of the long-held beliefs about the Dark Age war grave at Heronbridge will be challenged.

But it's the gardens of Chester that could be tapped for more vital clues. During the current series, a lost graveyard was found in a Blacon garden, while Roman burial urns were unearthed in a rose bed.

Lost Treasures is on Granada every Thursday at 7.30pm.
