An award-winning country pub is the latest acquisition in Chester Race Company’s growing portfolio of eateries and bars.
It has long been a firm favourite among locals with several national and regional awards on its outstanding CV.
The Yew Tree is Chester Race Company’s first venture outside Chester city centre following in the footsteps of 1539 Restaurant & Bar and The White Horse pub at Chester Racecourse , Commonhall St Social and most recently Ginger in Northgate Street.
The pub is currently undergoing work to freshen up the interior but will be retaining its homely feel and relaxed atmosphere when it reopens on Thursday, April 19.
Heading up the team will be experienced landlady Chloe Turner.
Chloe joins the company with more than 15 years’ experience in developing pubs and restaurants around the country.
She said: "I am so excited to be part of this project, Bunbury is such a beautiful place, I can’t wait to welcome the locals to our lovely new pub. We will have an impressive selection of local cask ales for guests to enjoy, along with an interesting collection of wines and artisan gins."
The Yew Tree’s menu will be created by Bunbury local Craig Wainwright. Craig has worked for Chester Race Company for four years, developing the food concepts at Commonhall St Social and The White Horse.
Craig said: “Cheshire has so many fantastic growers and farmers and I am looking forward to developing a menu that utilises what our amazing county has to offer.”
A welcome 50% discount off food will be available to all who visit over opening weekend between Thursday, April 19 and Sunday April 22.
