STAFF from Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) have been honoured at an awards ceremony for clocking up a combined total of 539 years service to the NHS.

Others were rewarded for completing job-related qualifications.

This year, 22 people were rewarded for long service.

Seven others were presented with certificates of commendation in recognition of all the hard work undertaken to achieve various qualifications.

CWP trust chairman David Eva presented the awards at a ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Ellesmere Port.

The long-serving staff range from health care scientists to consultants, admin staff, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists and support staff.

Mr Eva said: “The trust is committed to developing its staff members, whether it’s for their own personal or professional development, in order to prepare them to move into other roles. Supporting staff needs is vital as it leads to a better-trained workforce who are happier in their jobs, which has a positive impact on patient care.

“It was a privilege to be able to present these awards.”
