Motorists heading away from Chester on the M56 face long delays and heavy traffic following a collision on the M56 this morning (October 10).
The motorway had to be closed between junctions 12 and 11 eastbound while the two vehicles involved in the smash were moved on to the hard shoulder.
All lanes have reopened, but Highways England say there are delays of up to one hour against expected traffic.
There are not thought to be any injuries as a result of the incident, according to Cheshire police .
