A CHARITY boot camp at two Chester schools has raised funds for Claire House Hospice.
The Living Fit Big Charity Summer Bootcamp, supported by The King’s School and Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School, raised more than £150 for the Wirral-based charity, which provides respite, end-of-life and bereavement care for children and young adults.
Living Fit director Jamie Leighton worked in collaboration with King’s School Parents Association (KSPA) chairman Helen Anthony on the initiative.
Jamie said: “Despite the overcast skies, we had a great turnout at the boot camps and everyone who attended really put the effort in, learning new approaches to fitness and making some new friends along the way.”
Helen added: “KSPA is always looking for new ways to raise money for charity and, as I have been attending living fit boot camps for some time and really enjoying them, this was a great way to combine fitness and fundraising.”
