The incident happened about 9.10am today (Thursday, February 25) on Heath Lane, Little Sutton .

The 33-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital by a passing motorist. His condition is not known.

No arrests have been made at this stage. But officers are making enquiries such as checking the automatic number plate recognition camera system covering the area to see if anything potentially relevant was flagged up at the time.

Cheshire Police spokesman Daniel Hind said: “From what the cyclist reported, he was knocked off his bike and the vehicle involved has not stopped at the scene.”
