CHILDREN can meet real life heroes at this year’s annual RNLI day at Frodsham market.

On Thursday, June 9, lifesaving crew members from West Kirby RNLI station will be dragging their lifeboat into the town to encourage children to stay safe on beaches this summer.

Members of the Frodsham and District RNLI will be collecting donations and promoting the lifesaving service which costs £123.5m to keep running.

The annual lifeboat day could be the last event the fundraising team hold in the town, unless they can recruit more members.

The Wirral Pipe Band will be playing and safety information will be handed out. The event will run from 9-4pm at the market.
