TWO NEWLY qualified young solicitors are celebrating after being offered full-time posts at one of the largest legal firms in the area.

Roland Humphreys, of Wrexham, and Jennifer Lowe, of Chester, are delighted to have been taken on by Walker Smith Way, with whom they have completed two years’ intensive training and have just qualified as fully-fledged solicitors.

‘It has been such a good firm to train with and the people here have given me such a solid grounding that it is great to be able to continue with them and work full time for the firm,’ said Roland, from Acton, Wrexham.

His ambition had always been to go into a legal career and he will be specialising in divorce and family law.

Roland, a former pupil of Wrexham’s Victoria Junior School and the former Ysgol Bryn Offa, Wrexham, will be based in the Chester office.

He said: ‘I am very fortunate to have secured a job so close to my roots. I had hoped to be able to stay close to my family and this is a perfect opportunity, especially as Walker Smith Way is such a well respected firm within the legal profession’.

Jennifer, 27, originally from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, also knew from an early age that she wanted to be a solicitor.

Having studied law at Birmingham University she came to live in Chester three years ago, to take up her trainee placement with Walker Smith Way.

‘It was a great opportunity and Walker Smith Way offers a level of training that is of a standard as high as that in major city law practices.I consider myself very lucky to be able to begin my full time career with them,’ she said.
