PRINCESS Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, is giving people the chance to sample life in the royal household.

Mr Burrell, of High Street, Farndon, has enjoyed a thriving career after excelling in the ITV1 show I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here.

His latest venture is to host a £279-per-person Entertaining in Royal Style weekend at Little-cote House, Berkshire, in October.

A spokesman for the We Do Weekends promotion said: 'Paul gives a personal insight into his many years in the royal household. In addition, he shows how to entertain and impress your guests in true style.

'Paul creates menus, shows how to create the ultimate table setting and covers the essentials of etiquette, from choosing the right glass to how to deal with the guest who won't go home!

'Guests will also discover some intriguing historical background on royal residences from Paul's own unique perspective.'

Littlecote House is said to be where Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour.

The three-night break includes dinner, bed and breakfast, entertainment and leisure facilities. david.holmes@cheshirenews.co.uk
