For me no day is the same. For my day job as a lawyer, I work 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. I’m lucky enough to work from home for a London-based Law company. In the evenings I also work as a stylist for MyShowcase which is a platform that lets women sell beauty products whenever it suits them. Think Avon meets Space NK.

My day starts at 7am with an essential cup of tea and helping my 11-year-old son, Ethan get ready and off to school.

I’m a commercial lawyer, which essentially means that I specialise in contracts for businesses. I have a keen eye for the small-print! As a remote worker I spend a lot of time keeping in touch with colleagues via Lync video and conference calls, and occasionally travel to London for meetings.

As I work from home, some days it’s nice to get a change of scenery, so for lunch, I nip out for a quick bite to eat in town with a friend.

Ethan just goes to school just down the road, so usually he walks home.

As often as I can, I go to pick him up from school and spend time at the gates chatting to the other mums.

When Ethan’s home, we like to have a cuppa together and chat about how his day went. I spend some time in the evenings helping him with his homework too.

When we’re in the mood to get out of the house, we like to catch a film at the cinema or even just go for a walk around our area.

After my day job finishes, it’s time to put on my stylist hat. One of the best parts is holding showcases, which I do once or twice a week on a Friday or Saturday. A showcase is a private get together for girlfriends to try products from independent beauty brands and share beauty tips over some wine and nibbles – they’re always great fun.

My best selling product is currently Sage LA perfume oils. My customers fall in love with the heavenly scents created by perfumista, Sage Machado, in LA.

Exclusive to MyShowcase in the UK, they contain no water, no artificial fragrance, no alcohol – just pure perfume oil for a scent to last all day long.

I also lead a team of 50 stylists. Day-to-day what this means for me is that I spend some time each evening ringing some of the ladies to make sure they’re happy, chatting through how their business is going and giving advice where they need it.

I also have to make sure that all my customers are happy with their beauty purchases and I spend evenings following up with them to see if their purchases suited them or not. This sounds like a lot of work but it’s a great way to meet new people and I’m so passionate about my team and the beauty products we promote that it never feels like work.

Once Ethan has gone to bed, I go back to stylist mode and make sure I get all the admin out of the way.

The day ends with me usually winding down and taking some well deserves time for myself, I’m in bed by 11pm.

Do you wear a uniform or anything special to do your job? As I work from home, I don’t have a uniform for my day job as a solicitor.

However, for my role as a stylist, I try to look stylish and contemporary when holding showcases. My number one accessory is to make sure my skin is glowing and healthy.

What is the favourite part of your job? My favourite part of my day job as a solicitor is the intellectually challenging. As for being a stylist, is that it’s been a door-opener to so many new opportunities. For example, I will be opening up shop at The Bolesworth International Show Jumping festival in June near Chester.

What is the least favourite part of your job? I’ve created a work/life balance which works for me and I’m happy with all aspects of my work.

What would be your dream job if you weren’t doing what you do now? In the future, I want to start my own business. Working with MyShowcase has really helped me here because it’s allowed me to have my own business whilst also having that support network in place.

How do you relax when you are not working? I like to meet up with my girlfriends for dinner. But nothing beats spending time my son Ethan at home, watching a movie together.

What is your favourite film? Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. This film has a great outlook on life – it’s all about learning to go with the flow and take life as it comes. It’s become a favourite of mine and Ethan’s.

What is your favourite book? I’m not a huge book reader at the moment. Between juggling my jobs and family time, it doesn’t leave me too much time to lose myself in a good book.

What is your favourite song? Anything by Taylor Swift or Justin Timberlake. At the moment, I have Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift stuck in my head.

If a film was made of your life, who would you like to play you? If a film was made on my life I would be honoured to have Jennifer Aniston (pictured) play me. As you can see, I’m a fan!

Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet? When I was working as an in-house lawyer in a digital marketing company I became quite the Twitter geek. My Twitter name was @inhouselawyer which ended up getting lots of attraction and followers. It ended up with me making The Times Top 10 tech lawyers!
