A TAXI driver may be the luckiest person in town after she won two holidays within months of each other from the same radio station.

Sue Hitchen, who drives for Ian's Taxis in Winsford, scooped the top prize of an all-expenses-paid five-day trip to New York during the drive-time show.

She said: 'It was like a Play Your Cards Right competition, and in the first round we had to guess which street the Manhattan Comedy Theatre was on.

'The other player went first, and guessed high, then I guessed 22nd because my daughter Carris is 22 - and I got it right in one go.'

The New York prize coincided with Manchester United's tour of the States, and in the nail-biting final Sue had to go higher or lower on how many miles of subway are in New York.

She said: 'We had a few guesses and then I said 722 - again because of my daughter Carris - and it was spot on.'

Sue jetted off to the Big Apple with best friend Jackie earlier this month, just three days after winning the competition.

But she had not long been back from her other free holiday. In January she won a week's break in Portugal courtesy of Tony Horn, the breakfast DJ at Century FM radio, and flew off with husband Neil.

She said: 'To get one holiday is brilliant, but to get another is fantastic.'

The lucky streak doesn't end there - Sue has also won concert tickets to see James Brown and Atomic Kitten with Magic radio.

Now she's pinning her hopes on the Big Black Bus, a competition in which callers have to identify three mystery items.

Sue added: 'I keep ringing up but I can't get through - maybe they have blocked me!'
