LADIES have putted their way to success after a string of top class results in a regional golfing competitions.
Members of the Helsby Golf Club Ladies Shield team are celebrating following a strong year of tournaments across Cheshire and the Wirral.
The ladies, who meet at Helsby Golf Club and are split into an A and B team, enjoyed a string of successes at both home and away fixtures throughout 2011.
Now the women are celebrating after the A team reached the final of the West Cheshire Shield League for the first time in 12 years before being beaten to gold by the Runcorn ladies team.
