School pupils went out and about in the community to spread some festive cheer.

During the last week of term, the school council of Kingsley St John’s CE Aided Primary School went into the village and presented those they met with a small chocolate Christmas figure.

Headteacher Rachel Jones said: “We took this step to carry out random acts of kindness, inspired by fellow colleagues in Cheshire.

“The children loved bringing smiles to the faces of the residents of Kingsley. They recognised some faces and showed confidence and care for those they didn’t know too.

“It really was quite magical.”
