PUB owners are appealing for information after a chocolate Labrador puppy belonging to their four-year-old granddaughter went missing after just two weeks.

Red Bull landlord Steve Wales, who runs the Kingsley pub, bought two chocolate Labradors for his grandchildren but one of the pups, one called Lola, went missing from The Brow site on Monday.

“Lola was a much loved pet and it’s broken my granddaughter’s heart,” said Steve.

“We had two, one called Lola and the other called Pepper, one for each granddaughter but Lola went missing at about 10.30am.

“We’ve been putting up leaflets everywhere but had no luck, I think it might have been taken.

“Most of the village was out looking as well.

“They leave her with us but they are my granddaughters’’ dogs.”

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Lola is asked to ring Steve at the Red Bull on 01928 788 097.
