STAFF members at a Chester fast food chain are hoping to keep fit during a 10-hour Sport Relief fundraiser tomorrow (Friday).
Employees at the Foregate Street chain of KFC will take part in the pedal power event from noon until 10pm, by taking in turns to cycle on an exercise bike.
Colin McNaughton-Law, team leader and supervisor at the branch, said: “We are doing this to support Sport Relief and to emphasise we believe in a balanced lifestyle.
“There are 10 of us, so it will either mean one hour each or we do two stints of half an hour.
“Total Fitness have been kind enough to loan us the bike, and will also be here to promote health and fitness.
“We haven’t got a target distance as such, but if Total Fitness give us something to work toward during the event it will help.”
Colin, who has previously raised money for Comic Relief by taking part in half-marathons and being an Elvis impersonator, added the employees would be taking sponsor forms and going to nearby stores for extra funding.
There will also be a bucket collection in the takeaway for people to donate spare cash.
