HUNDREDS will descend on Kelsall for this weekend’s first British Eventing extravaganza of the season.

Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre hosts the showcase event with competitions held in dressage, showjumping and cross country.

More than 250 competitors have registered at Kelsall which opens its gates to the public on Saturday and Sunday.

Located on the edge of Delamere Forest off the A54, organisers say the weekend should be fun for all the family.

Owner Phil Latham said: “The event has grown from strength to strength over the years, with April’s event being heavily subscribed with local riders and those from further afield.

“With sandy ground, the conditions underfoot will always be good, it is an ideal place for a day out.

“We offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere – with trade stands plus the thrills and spills of eventing.”

Local rider Dee Kennedy added: “I enjoy Kelsall BE weekend as it is an excellent place to educate my youngsters, with a friendly atmosphere which is situated in a beautiful part of the Cheshire countryside.”

Price of entry is £5 per car but for further information, call 07809 689972 or e-mail admin@kelsallhill.co.uk.
