A family have paid tribute to their ‘beloved boy’ who died after his motorbike was involved in a collision with two other vehicles near Kelsall on Monday evening (November 8).

Ashley O’Dowd, 21, from Winsford , was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at the junction of the A54 Kelsall Bypass with Ashton Lane.

Ashley’s parents and his older brother and sister described him as a ‘happy, kind, loving boy’ and thanked his friends for their condolonces.

They said: “Our beloved boy Ashley, at 21 years old, he had his whole life ahead of him he was such a happy, kind, loving boy who brought happiness joy and laughter to anyone he met.

“We as a family would like to thank all of Ashley’s friends and everyone else who has sent their condolences. It brings great comfort to hear the lovely things everyone has said about our boy.

"Forever in our hearts all our love mum, dad, your big brother and sister and all of the family xxx.”

Police are appealing for information about the fatal collision, which involved a blue Hyundai Coupe and a bronze Volvo, as well as the victim’s black and red Aprilia bike.
