Top authors, former soldiers and reality TV stars are among the big names who will be signing copies of their books at Chester’s WH Smith over the next few months.
Hot on the heels of fellow TOWIE star Joey Essex who attracted ‘off the scale’ crowds to his own book signing at the store in May, Jess Wright will be at the Foregate Street store this Saturday (August 1) to sign copies of her debut fiction book Sparkling Stilettos.
Jess, whose brother Mark is married to former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, will be in Chester from 2pm to promote her romance novel which tells the story of fledgling shoe designer Megan Winters who tries to turn heads and get noticed.
She said: “I loved my first experience at writing. I enjoyed planning the story chapter by chapter. It was fulfilling and exciting building the plot with exciting twists and creating believable and lovable characters that all kinds of people can relate to.”
Staff are no doubt hoping Jess will attract a similar amount of fans to the store as Joey did two months ago, after which they said they had ‘never seen anything like’ the number of people who came to catch a glimpse of him.
Chester-based author ID Jackson will be at Waterstones on Saturday signing copies of his new novel, Deadly Determination - a fast paced thriller.
His first novel Dead Charming is currently being made into a screen play.
Ian said “Chester is great for book signings.
“Not simply because it is my home town, but also because everyone is so receptive, friendly and has time to talk. I am really keen to meet readers once again at Waterstones as well as new readers and prospective writers. If you are looking for a few tips on getting your work published, pop down I will be more than happy to help, if I can.”
