CELEBRITY mum Jennifer Ellison joined scores of youngsters putting their best foot forward and gearing up for a walk on the wild side at the Barnardo’s Big Toddle at Chester Zoo.

The event took place on Tuesday and was the wildest, brightest and biggest yet – with children encouraged to dress up as their favourite safari animals.

Jennifer said: “I’m delighted to be attending the Big Toddle for Barnardo’s. This is a fantastic way for little ones to get together with their friends in the fresh air and toddle for charity. All of the money raised goes a long way to helping local children realise their potential.”

The Big Toddle – the UK’s number one fundraising event for under-fives – is a short sponsored walk which saw almost half a million registrations in 2010 alone, and organisers are hoping that 2011 will be another ‘roaring success’.

Funds raised by these charitable youngsters will help to support Barnardo’s Early Years work – a range of UK projects supporting children with physical and learning disabilities, autism and behavioural problems.

There is still time to register your children for further toddle events in the region in the coming months.
