Jamie Vardy has spoken of the moment his wedding day nerves almost got the better of him at Peckforton Castle .

The England footballer and his bride Rebekah Nicholson tied the knot at the Tarporley venue last Wednesday (May 25), with guests including One Direction star Louis Tomlinson , rapper Tinchy Stryder, Serge from rock band Kasabian and a host of Vardy's Leicester City team-mates.

Vardy, 29, had previously said he would not suffer from nerves, but he admitted to Hello! magazine that seeing his little girl and then his bride walking down the aisle made him emotional.

"Then I saw Becky coming towards me and she just looked so incredible, I felt my composure going again. I knew she’d look amazing but it was more than I could ever have pictured."
