CHESTER’S newest art gallery launched its winter show on Saturday.

Jamandic Fine Art, at 22 Bridge Street Row, showcases original work by British contemporary artists with strong Welsh connections.

Owner Dominic Parland said: “We are proud to feature works by Gordon Stuart, who has work in the National Portrait Gallery, Lucy Pratt and Rosa Sepple, who have exhibited at the Royal Academy, and Karel Lek OBE.

“We will also feature work by Ishbel McWhirter – known for her portraits of Melvyn Bragg, Germaine Greer and Lord Longford – and Emrys Williams, a prolific winner of prizes in the art world.”

The show runs until January.
