THE name’s Bond and I need your money.

It’s not Chester’s own Daniel Craig but Green Watch member at Chester Fire Station Simon Gildea.

Simon is organising a James Bond casino night at Chester Racecourse in memory of his sister Angela who died of breast cancer.

The Angela Gildea Memorial Fund supports breast cancer care at the Countess of Chester.

Since her death in 2002, Angela’s parents Ruth and Joe and older brother Simon have continued to raise funds in her memory to purchase additional equipment for the breast care centre at the hospital.

Regulars at the family’s pub – The Ship Victory in Gorse Stacks – have supported many events over the years including the annual Turkey Trot on the Roodee.

Simon is hoping people will snap up the £25-a-head tickets, which include a £10 flutter and canapes, for his Licence to Thrill evening.

It will take place on Friday, February 29.
