An investigation has been launched following a fire at a house in Chester.

The blaze, which happened just after 7.30pm at a property in Churton Road, off Tarvin Road, last night (Wednesday, March 30), was severe enough to cause structural damage to the building.

Fire crews wearing two breathing apparatus had to use a hose reel jet to put out the blaze on the first floor of the mid-terraced house.

All occupants were accounted for and a building inspector was called to assess the structural safety of the house.

An investigation is ongoing.
