OUTSPOKEN Independent candidate Tom Reynolds says he will be working on his house in the build up to tonight’s Weaver Vale count at the Northwich Memorial Hall.

The company director, 56, who is married with four children and lives on Simons Lane, Frodsham, decided to stand in the General Election after becoming disillusioned with the mainstream political parties.

He said: “All I’m going to be doing is working on my house.

“I would like to say If it wasn’t for the Royal Mail having free distribution for candidates and the regional news showing an interest then the Independents wouldn’t have had a chance.

“In the past the focus has always been on the three main parties and democracy wouldn’t have been served.”
