IMPROVEMENTS to a village bus stop were ‘imperative’, parish councillors argued.

The issue, at the Aspen Grove bus stop on Hermitage Road, Saughall, was raised by Saughall and Shotwick Park Parish Council as alighting was said to be dangerous. Š

The problem was being followed up by borough councillor Brian Crowe (Con).

Following a site visit, the borough council informed the stop would be upgraded.

A problem involving sewage at 100 Hermitage Road had been dealt with.

It had been accepted the council has done all it can about the issue of customers being unable to pay English water rates at the Co-op store.
