Twins who were found dead at the bottom of cliffs in Dover on New Year's Day have been named.

The bodies of Muriel and Bernard Burgess from Elton were discovered at the foot of Langdon Cliffs near to another man's body – but none of the deaths are being treated as suspicious.

The 59-year-old brother and sister's next of kin has been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Kent Police are still appealing for help to trace the twins' final movements.

They were wearing dark-coloured wet weather gear and may have been seen at the top of the cliffs in the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Forty-five-year-old Scott Enion from Manchester has been revealed as the man whose body was also found at the bottom of the cliffs on January 1.

Officers have confirmed that they are not linking his death with those of the Burgess twins.

If you have any information that could help with the enquiry into the twins’ movements please contact Detective Sergeant Stuart Ward on 01843 222289, quoting incident number 01-980.
