THERE was tea, cake and photographs enjoyed at a Clotton care home’s dignity day.

Residents at Iddenshall Hall and the Beeston View care home on Rode Street were invited to put together photographs and a quote to create an exhibition for the care home.

Activities co-ordinator Alison Jones said: “We asked the residents to put together a photograph and a quote which told everybody something about them, and told us what they enjoyed. It was good to learn something new about each of our residents, especially as some now find it difficult to communicate.”

During the day representatives of the Alzheimer’s Society as well as friends and relatives of the residents visited to look at the exhibition. Residents also had the opportunity to take part in a cake taste test and enjoyed a glass of port.
