THE Enchanted Christmas theme continues when ice magic arrives in Chester this weekend (November 28-29).

There is a fantastic prize to be won from Rigby Jewellers in Frodsham Street; a fabulous ring or Lovelinks Bracelet worth £275 in a competition supported by Chester’s Dee 106.3.

On Saturday, artists arrive in Eastgate Street to create a Christmas ice sculpture. Look out for the large ring that will be frozen into a block of ice.

Can you predict when the ice will melt and release the ring? All you have to do is guess how long the ring will take to drop to the ground.

Just text your guess on the day to ‘dee ice’ followed by the time to 60300 eg12h 52m (12 hours 52 minutes). The clock starts at 11am, text your answer between 11am and midnight on Saturday. The winner will be person whose prediction is closest to the time.

The ice sculptures move to Bridge Street on Sunday when another Christmas ice sculpture will be created.

There will be a chance to watch the ice artists throughout the Christmas period, they move on to Neston Parish Church on Wednesday, December 2, Frodsham High Street on Friday, December 4, Chester’s Eastgate Street Saturday, December 5 and Bridge Streeton December 6. Rufus Court is the venue on December 12 and 13. The Ellesmere Port Winter Wonderland parade on December 17.

The last opportunity to watch the artists at work will be December 19 at Northwich Cross.

The Christmas celebrations across Cheshire West and Chester include parades, Ice sculptures, street entertainment, late night shopping and competitions.
