HUNDREDS of Christmas revellers queued outside the Albion Inn on Christmas Eve to enjoy a Yuletide sing-song and a drink.

The queue snaked from Albion Street around the corner into Volunteer Street as more than 200 people looked forward to the pub’s annual Christmas carol singalong led by musical maestro Matt Baker.

Landlord Mike Mercer said: “I expected there to be a queue but not quite like that!”

Mike has a number of events planned for the New Year including Christmas in the Trenches singalongs and a possible Burns night celebration.
