HUNDREDS of people waved flags, cheered and danced as the streets of Chester were filled with a spectacular parade of royal giants (see video below).
Yesterday people packed the streets of Chester to watch as 60 giant Queen Elizabeth IIs were paraded through the city centre to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and kick start this years Chestival celebrations.
Excited children with their faces painted red, white and blue and dressed in royal robes and princess dresses perched on their parents shoulders as they watched the giants wind through the crowds to the beat of the samba drums.
Families travelled from all across the country to line the rows as the giants dressed in colourful robes, glittering crowns and tirars made their way from under the Eastgate Clock to the Town Hall where crowds danced and waved Union Jack flags as the city celebrated the Diamond Jubilee in style.
