A LONG cortege of cars snaked its way through Blacon yesterday, as hundreds of family and friends mourn d the unexplained death of a newly-wedded father.

In the eulogy at St Theresa's Church in Blacon, Nicky's cousin Graham Haslam paid tribute to plasterer Stuart. He said: 'Even people who barely knew him described him as a lovely lad. He was a great credit to his family and friends, a keen Liverpool fan a keen Liverpool FC fan and he was a devoted family man with a deep love for his soulmate Nicky and daughter Holly.'

Mourners heard a poem written on behalf of Holly by her grandmother Brenda Gough, of Blacon. 'You left a million memories that I am proud to own, And with these beautiful memories daddy we will never walk alone.

But sometimes I'll get lonely for the daddy I can't replace I would walk to heaven and back just to see your smiling face.

I miss you daddy and will do throughout my life.

I love you, from your daughter Holly. n In a statement this week Stuart's family thanked everyone who has helped them including: Dutton and Hallmark; Bloomin Heck; and the Mollington Banastre Hotel.
