PROPERTY prices across South Cheshire are set to rise significantly over the next four years, according to a national magazine

Your Mortgage, an independent consumer magazine has forecast that prices in Crewe and Nantwich Borough will increase by 9.3% between 2005 and 2009 while in Congleton Borough the figure will be 8.5%

Andrew Stuart, editor-in-chief of Your Mortgage, said: 'These latest house price projections for Cheshire are encouraging but don't reflect what is happening in other parts of the country.

'The UK has generally seen massive house price inflation for the last few years and we are starting to see that trend abate. Our latest predictions show that property prices in some areas are continuing to level out but elsewhere there may be depreciation in house prices.

'However, Cheshire and the North West in general seems to have side-stepped this trend with house prices growing at a steady and manageable rate.'
