TODDLERS in Chester got stuck in with glue and glitter to create cards and pictures for their dads.

The latest session of the Hoole-based group, Who Let the Dads Out, was a Father’s Day special, an entire morning devoted to children spending quality time with their fathers.

Dad David Anstey who attends the group – which has been going for eight years – with his daughter Isla said: “As a teacher, I work full-time so obviously want to spend some quality time with Isla at the weekend, but it can be hard to find things to do that aren’t too packed, plus Isla really likes the craft activities so this is perfect.”

Steven Taylor, dad to Lily, said: “My wife spends lots of time with Lily in the week when I’m at work, and at weekends we do family activities.

“This is the only thing that we do just the two of us, it’s nice to have that special time. It can be daunting coming along to a group on your own, but it is definitely worth it.”

Who Let the Dads Out runs on the first Saturday of every month (excluding August) at Hoole Lighthouse Centre from 10am-12pm.
